Taking a pause in our big driving day just outside Jackson Mississippi. Southern is spoken here. This scandinavian is bewildered by all the yes ma’ams, pleases and thank yous.

Our summer travels are coming to a close. There is so much to share from our time in the road, but as we are soaking in every moment, there has been little sharing. Tomorrow the leg begins. There are only 13 driving hours between us and our new hometown. The eclipse today was a lovely finale to our time with family in Georgia and a monumental marker for our new beginning!

This little guy joined us for the eclipse viewing and scampered away only once it was complete.

We couldn’t ask for a better day to spend on Lake Oconee. Man made lakes are very different from what this Minnesotan is used to, but we sure are enjoying it!
